Immerse yourself in the heart of the Sahara with this 4-day, 3-night tour from Foum Zguid. Between majestic dunes, encounters with nomads, and nights spent camping under the stars, experience the Moroccan desert like a true Saharan.
Circuit route
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Lake Iriki – Erg Chegaga
Departure in the afternoon from Foum Zguid by 4x4 along the Paris-Dakar route. Pass through the mountain ranges shaped like a tagine and discover fossils before crossing the dried-up lake of Iriki to reach the dunes of Erg Chegaga. Welcome with Berber tea then camel ride to admire the sunset from the great dunes. In the evening, traditional dinner, music around the fire and overnight in a bivouac.
Day 2: Camel trekking – Oasis of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi – Wild camp
After breakfast, we will set off on a camel trek from the bivouac to the Dakar Valley to share a traditional lunch with a nomadic family. In the afternoon, we will explore the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi: its oasis and its ancient ksar, witness to a rich past. Dinner and overnight stay in a wild camp in Boajaj, under a starry sky.
Day 3: Boajaj – Erg El Ghoul (the dune of ghosts)
Cross the dried-up Lake Iriki to reach Erg El Ghoul, a majestic and isolated dune that embodies the authenticity and silence of the Sahara. Unforgettable sunset from the top of the dunes. In the evening, prepare sand bread baked under the embers, enjoy a typical dinner and music around the fire before a night at the bivouac.
Day 4: Erg El Ghoul – Foum Zguid
After breakfast, meet your driver and return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid through the Saharan landscapes.
