Excursion Désert d’Iriki – 2 jours / 1 nuit depuis Foum Zguid

Embark on an authentic immersion in Iriki National Park with this 2-day, 1-night tour departing from Foum Zguid. Between oases, nomadic villages, and the wild dunes of Erg El M'Hazil, enjoy an unforgettable experience with a night under the stars in a secluded bivouac.

Circuit route

Day 1: Foum Zguid – Laajirmia Oasis – Village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi – Erg El M'Hazil
Departure around 9 a.m. from your hotel or the center of Foum Zguid by 4x4. First stop at the oasis of Laajirmia, after about an hour of trail riding. Surrounded by date palms, it offers an exceptional panorama of the table mountains, nicknamed the "Colorado of the Moroccan desert."
Continue to a traditional guesthouse located 60 km from Foum Zguid, in the heart of Iriki National Park and close to the only nomadic village in the region. Lunch prepared with fresh produce, served on a shaded terrace.
In the afternoon, departure for a 2-hour hike on camelback or on foot to the dunes of Erg El M'Hazil, crossing the old dried-up lake of Iriki. Settle into a wilderness bivouac, enjoy a welcome tea, and then climb the dunes to admire the sunset. Enjoy a traditional dinner, an evening by the fire, and spend the night in comfortable tents under a starry sky.

Day 2: Erg El M'Hazil – Foum Zguid
Enjoy a hearty breakfast outdoors, then return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid with several stops to enjoy the varied landscapes of the Iriki Desert one last time. Arrival is expected between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.
