Description
Ideal for those short on time, this 2-day, 1-night tour from Foum Zguid allows you to discover the authenticity of the Sahara. Between the dunes of Erg Chegaga, Lake Iriki, and encounters with nomads, experience a unique immersion in Bedouin life.
Circuit route
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Erg Chegaga
Meet your driver-guide at 3 p.m. in the center of Foum Zguid, around a welcome tea. Departure in 4x4 by the track leading to the mountains in the shape of a tagine, then stop at the oasis of Elagermia and at a prehistoric fossil site. Visit a nomad tent and share tea before crossing the dried-up lake of Iriki. Arrival at the dunes of Erg Chegaga by the side of the lake and installation at the Bivouac Les Nomades . Sunset at the top of the dunes, traditional dinner and musical evening around the fire. Night in camp.
Day 2: Erg Chegaga – Village of Sidi Abd Enbi – Foum Zguid
Breakfast at the camp in the heart of the dunes, then departure by 4x4 towards the village of Sidi Abd Enbi. Discover its ancient ksar, the oasis and the marabout. Return to Foum Zguid at the end of the morning.
