From camping in the dunes to camel rides and a stay in a traditional guesthouse, this adventure combines nature, history, and cultural immersion.
Circuit route
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Erg El M'Hazil
Departure by 4x4 from Foum Zguid to the dunes of Erg El M'Hazil. Settle into a Saharan bivouac in the heart of nature. Enjoy the silence of the desert, admire the sunset from the dunes and share a traditional dinner around the fire before spending the night in a tent.
Day 2: Erg El M'Hazil – Lake Iriki – Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi – Guest house
After breakfast, depart for a crossing of the dried-up Lake Iriki on camelback (or on foot, depending on your preference). Picnic break en route. Arrive at a rammed earth guesthouse where you'll enjoy a relaxing moment: traditional hammam, mint tea, and dinner prepared by a local chef. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Djebel Bani – Rock Engravings – Guesthouse
After breakfast, a guided hike (1.5 to 2 hours) to Jebel Bani. Discover the fascinating rock engravings and paintings, unique prehistoric remains of the Sahara. Return to the guesthouse for lunch and a free afternoon. A visit to the nearby oasis with its ancient ksar and the marabout's tomb is possible. Dinner and overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Day 4: Guesthouse – Foum Zguid
Breakfast then return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid.
