Description
Embark on an exceptional 8-day adventure from Foum Zguid, in the heart of Iriki National Park and the wild dunes of Erg Chegaga. This expedition trek immerses you in the life of nomads, between cultural encounters, Saharan wildlife observation, and magical nights under the stars.

Expedition Itinerary
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Tajine Mountains
Welcome to Foum Zguid, discovery of the small town then meeting with the team of dromedaries. Hike to the Tajine Mountains, set up camp on the heights to observe the desert's nightlife. Spend the night in a tent or under the stars.
Day 2: Tajine Mountains – Shore of Lake Iriki
Walk towards the dried-up Lake Iriki. Set up camp on the lakeshore. Nighttime wildlife viewing: fennec foxes, foxes, and other animals active at nightfall.
Day 3: Crossing Lake Iriki
Day of trekking across the vast dried-up lake, classified as a national park since 1994 and covering more than 123,000 hectares. Overnight in a bivouac.
Day 4: Arrival at the dunes – Erg El M'Hazil / Erg Chegaga
Set up camp in the dunes, explore the wildlife and watch the sunset.
Day 5: Crossing the dunes – Gazelle watching
An intense day of hiking in the high dunes of the Sahara, with a high chance of spotting gazelles, especially in winter. Wild bivouac in the dunes.
Day 6: Meeting with a nomadic family
Discover the life of the nomads: traditions, hospitality and Berber meals. Spend the night with them in a family camp.
Day 7: Oued Ennam – Oumlâlag Oasis
Walk through the verdant oasis of Oumlâlag, rich in contrasts and biodiversity. Overnight in a bivouac.
Day 8: Return – M'Hamid El Ghizlane – Marrakech
4x4 journey to M'Hamid El Ghizlane then return to Marrakech.
