Description
Embark on a 2-day, 1-night Saharan getaway from Foum Zguid. This tour will take you through the unique landscapes of Iriki National Park before enjoying an unforgettable experience in the wild dunes of Erg El M'Hazil, amidst sunsets, bivouacs, and starry skies.
Circuit route
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Erg El M'Hazil
Departure around 2 p.m. by 4x4 from Foum Zguid, crossing the plains of the former dried-up Lake Iriki. A break along the way will allow you to observe fossils in the lake's fossil bed, a fascinating testament to its history.
Upon arrival at the desert bivouac, you'll have free time to relax before climbing the highest dune and admiring a magnificent sunset over the ocean of sand. A camel ride is included to extend the experience. Dinner around the campfire, stargazing, and a peaceful night in large traditional tents.
Day 2: Erg El M'Hazil – Foum Zguid
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by an al fresco breakfast. Return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid, crossing the superb desert plateaus with contrasting landscapes. Arrival expected in the late morning, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.
